Highway 61 Revisited, the world’s only Bob Dylan Tribute Band, announces their show at Hard Rock Café Pittsburgh for a Bob Dylan Birthday Tribute event. This look alike/sound alike Bob Dylan Tribute show will feature four former Dylan band members, special guests violinist Scarlet Rivera and bassist Rob Stoner from Bob Dylan’s Desire album and Rolling Thunder Revue tour of 1975-1976, and drummer Winston Watson and Guitarist John Jackson from Dylan’s 1992-1996 Never Ending Tour band.
Scarlet Rivera is one of the world’s most prominent and versatile violinists. Scarlet Rivera was invited by Bob Dylan to perform on his Desire album, and shortly thereafter became a featured musician on the Rolling Thunder Revue Tour. She is most known for her work on the Dylan hit songs “Hurricane” and “One More Cup of Coffee,” as well as subsequent Dylan albums Hard Rain, Live 1975, and Biograph.
Rob Stoner was Bob Dylan's bass player and bandleader from 1975-1978, Rob Stoner recorded on Dylan’s albums Desire, Hard Rain, Budokan, and Live 1975. “Rockin” Rob Stoner was Bob Dylan’s band leader and is also known for playing bass and singing backgrounds on the Don McClean hit “American Pie.”
Winston Watson was Bob Dylan’s Never Ending Tour band drummer from 1992-1996. Winston appeared on Dylan's MTV Unplugged and at Woodstock ’94. Watson was very popular with Dylan fans because of his joyful expressions and energetic drumming style, adding alot of pizzaz to Dylan's show when Dylan needed it most.
John Jackson was Bob Dylan’s Never Ending Tour band guitarist from 1991-1997. “JJ” appeared on Dylan's MTV Unplugged and at Woodstock ’94.
Highway 61 Revisited recreates Bob Dylan’s greatest music and stage shows, featuring the songs that made Bob Dylan a cultural icon and legend: “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “Like A Rolling Stone,” “Hurricane,” “Tangled Up in Blue” and “All Along the Watchtower” as well as new hits like “Things Have Changed.” For this tour, Highway 61 Revisited will especially feature songs from the 1975-1976 Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder Revue tour, including “Isis”, “One More Cup of Coffee,” “Joey”, and many more. With an acoustic and an electric set, fans of all ages revel in experiencing Bob Dylan again, or for the first time! The poetry, symbolism, and power of Bob Dylan’s greatest performances still resonate today, thanks to Highway 61 Revisited.
